Honda Infotainment, instrument cluster
I was the UI (HMI) lead for the mass production Honda 18’ Odyssey infotainment from 2014 till 2017. This was Honda R&D America’s first infotainment development (not by Japan HQ) and as a one person UI team (LA) working with 6 UX design engineers, a team of developers, and several engineering groups (Ohio engineering HQ), I collaborated and oversaw the consistency of the layouts, wireframes, and created all visuals including the guidelines for 20+ in-vehicle application GUI (650+ screens and 900+ graphics assets except for the navigation application.) As a team, we have improved the usability of the HMI while minimizing diver distractions; subsequently Japan Headquarter implemented our development for following mass production vehicles until now, and the work was recognized as one of the “2017 Wards 10 Best UX” award winner.
